why is there such a low attendance in Portugese football league, except in Porto, Benfica and Sporting games?
Everytime i watch highlights of portugese league i notice that theres a very low attendance in most of the matches, its like watching Slovenian league ( very low attendance , from 400 - 800 per match, and it depends on who is playing who) ...... what is the reason behind that ? I mean , Portugal has a population of 10,487,289 , they should have no problem with selling out the stadiums or at least half of the stadiums should be filled in portugals 1st league, Sagres liga.

i hope football fans from Portugal can help me or anyone else who knows something about this

thanks

Because it's a mediocre league; other teams like Boavista, Maritimo Braga etc. don't have a great deal of appeal, a bit like the Scottish league

Lets see if I can help.

I don't agree with 400-800 people. There are usually a few thou at each game.

Lest start with the three best. Benfica is the team with most active members in the world. Porto and Sporting are the other two best teams, and Benfica's rivals.

The league is not mediocre. In fact, it is competitive and interesting to watch the games. I think the main problem is the financial crisis in Portugal. People will spend money to go watch the big games, but there are many who simply cannot afford to go watch games, except after saving up for special occasions.

That is the main reason. Hope this helped.

you are talking about the best batsman of all-time that is Sir Don Bradman. Granted, he played in an

Era where there were fewer team than there is today... But Bradman played in an era where they played on uncovered pitches. Let's not forget the fact that players like Bradman had there careers interrupted by the Second World War. It was some time before their careers resumed.

Bradman was known for his dedication to perfecting his skills, such the famous batting the golf ball up against the wall with a stump to sharpen his hand-eye coordination.
